eWellness Redefines Accessibility to Healthcare Advise Including Preventative and Supportive Care

Jana Abu-Shehab
E-wellness is overseen by Ph. Jana Abu-Shehab, a Pharmacy graduate from the University of Manchester with a Master’s degree. Accredited by the Jordan Pharmacist Association and Ministry of Health, E-wellness addresses the gaps observed in healthcare in Jordan. These include, but are not limited to, the absence of counseling for patients on medications, overlooking red flag drug interactions, and the lack of follow-up treatment plans.
Jana Abu-Shehab said, “Having witnessed these challenges, I recognized the need for a more effective approach to support the public dealing with minor health issues. Additionally, there was a noticeable gap in collaboration between pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, impacting patient outcomes and placing additional strain on the healthcare system.”
E-wellness seeks to redefine healthcare accessibility by providing advice on preventive and supportive care. Through its active pursuit of a vision for positive social change, E-wellness aims to alleviate the burden of illness on the healthcare system.
